Little Silly Lilly

On September 20th a new special little lady made her way into the world, little Lilly.  Lilly's mom is one of my oldest and best friends on the face of this Earth.  Growing up, her family was like my own and I am hoping that with our children we can continue that tradition.  Her little silly Lilly is about 3 weeks older then our newest, little Wesley and they will be growing up together whether they like it or not.  We often joke about their wedding one day, secretly wishing that it happens.

Although the spitting image of her daddy, little Lilly definitely has personality traits of her mother.  I can't wait to watch her grow.

Aunt Lori's Birthday

My recent hiatus has been a result of the birth of our son, Wesley - however, we will get to that.  Before I can post about him, I feel like I need to catch up on what happened before he was born and one of those activities was Aunt Lori's Birthday.  I got a couple of very cute shots that I thought were worth sharing, so I decided to date back to September (yes, September) when we all got together for Lori's Birthday.

We enjoyed time with family (including cake) and celebrated the birth of the one and only Aunt Lori.  Mallory loves her aunt Lori and is always excited to go to their house to play.  She often refers to Lori as Princess Lori due to the streaming pictures of their wedding that are constantly showing up on our slide shows.  Lori is an amazing mother who has always given me wonderful advice when I needed a second opinion on a cranky toddler or a scary cough.  Thanks for everything you do Aunt Lori!

Sunny Day

Looking back on some pictures from early September and realizing that these sunny days are going to be gone soon.  Although I love fall, it will be bittersweet to say goodbye to the sleeveless dresses and warm weather.

Pop Rocks!

Mallory's first taste of the lovable candy Pop Rocks. I think aside from the fizzling surprise, she was quite a fan.

Big Sister In Training

After my sister had her little girl, she brought her home for a visit and to meet the extended family, including Mallory. Mallory was in awe of her "new cousin A-men" and wanted very much to help out and take care of her. This made Daddy and I very happy, considering we have only 4 weeks until the expected arrival of little Wesley.

Mallory wanted to hold Aevan often and insisted on "helping" change her diapers. As soon as Aevan was content and settled, Mallory would saunter off to find a baby doll and change the babies diaper over and over again. Every time I walk in to Wes' nursery I find another baby doll in his bassinet with a crazy looking diaper job :)

Here are some shots of the Big Sister in Training. She did such a great job with as she puts it, "My A-men."

"Don't Cry baby, I will give you a kiss"
This is what I get when I ask for a smile.

Look how big that binky looks!!
Gentle pets. These made mommy nervous.

My future's so bright...I have to wear shades.

Splash Park

Recently our City opened up a new water/splash park downtown as part as a new park they constructed. Being that Mallory and I have very few of our Wednesday funday's left, I have been trying to make the ones void of a doctor's appointment, special. One of these Wednesday's we headed down to this new park with Katherine and Liam. Despite the small technical delay with the fountains, the kids had a blast. Running through the short spouts of water that shot out of the ground made for constant giggles and smiles. It was hard to not get a shot of them smiling. It is days like this I don't think I will forget.
